Education and Experience
1. Education: Radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school; Mammographic Radiologic Technology certified; and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
2. Experience: Must minimum one year of experience as Radiology Tech (Mammogram).
3. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
Job description:
Review all mammography imaging requests, checking for special instructions; and confirming studies based on physician orders for all AIC patients.
Perform digital breast screening mammograms.
Provide the AIC patient education on screening and mammography testing to ensure understanding of risk and adverse reactions that may be possible, if any.
Monitor AIC patient conditions and vital signs, recognize allergic reactions and initiate emergency response, if needed, to include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
