Animal Chiropractic Program 2024

This course is designed to give the Chiropractor and the Veterinarian an in-depth postgraduate look into the philosophy, science and art of animal chiropractic.

Topics which are covered include:

The basic anatomical differences in the quadruped verses the human, topographical anatomy of the quadruped, functional anatomy, the basic physiology of the animal patient, peripheral and central neurology of the animal patient, functional neurology, metabolic and contagious diseases of animals, zoonotic diseases, musculoskeletal disorders of animals, common causes of lameness in animals and how to perform a lameness exam,  how to assess the animal patient from a chiropractic perspective, chiropractic adjusting techniques, the ethics and legalities of animal chiropractic, the vertebral subluxation complex, chiropractic philosophy, case management, restraint techniques that work well in animals, saddle fit, the equine foot and teeth, common drugs used in the treatments of animal diseases, and select topics in animal chiropractic.

• Must have successfully registered for Module 1 to Register for other Modules
• This program is offered only to licensed veterinarians, licensed chiropractors or senior students (TRI 7 or above) enrolled in an accredited Veterinary College or Chiropractic College.
• Chiropractors and Veterinarians from outside the United States must have graduated from a Veterinary or Chiropractic College accepted by their country.

This course is pending approval from the:
TX Veterinarian Board & American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

Participants are encouraged to check the individual state laws in which they practice animal chiropractic and to remain within the confines of these laws.

Working on animals, as a doctor trained in animal chiropractic, is a physically demanding job requiring good physical conditioning. Participates should be able to:

• Remain in a stationary or squatting position for prolonged periods of time.
• Ascend/descend adjusting bales (2.5 feet in height) unassisted to properly adjust horses.
• Perceive, recognize and be able to appropriately respond to dangerous situations when working with animals and be able to move rapidly away from a situation if necessary.
• Move and restrain large dogs (up to and exceeding 150 pounds),
• Be in good enough physical condition to handle the physical demands of an animal chiropractor.

This is a live event held at Parker University, Dallas, TX. Purchase of this course will successfully enroll you into the on ground event. Program start date is dependent on pre-enrollment numbers.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds, less a 25% administrative fee, will be issued upon request if received more than 7 days prior to the event. Cancellations less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable. 

If ‘event’ is canceled, your order will be refunded in full. Your order cost will be refunded to your original payment method within four weeks of the event officially being canceled.

If ‘event’ is postponed, your order will be valid for the new date. Similar to a cancellation, there is no need to take any action on your end. Once we have confirmed the changes, we will contact you by email with an update.
